Plain Unistrut is susceptible to rust and offers the least amount of corrosion resistance. Hot-Dip Galvanized Channel (HG) is significantly less expensive than stainless steel, but it also more susceptible to corrosion than stainless steel.

The acrylic coating is a proprietary formulation and is essentially “heavy-metal” free. Unistrut Perma-Green III is a factory applied, electro-deposition acrylic coating with superior rust protection and fade-resistance. The bolt will thread through the space between the bars in your truss and then down through the Unistrut. You should use 1 each “S2TR” set per truss. To attach the Unistrut to your trusses, use the bolt, washer, and nut sets labeled “S2TR”. The vast majority of Unistrut channel sections come in 10′ and 20′ lengths. It can bend all types of channel including aluminum, stainless and carbon steel.

Section bending machine can ability to bend channel the easy way (against the weak axis) and the hard way (against the strong axis). The green coating contains no toxic metals. Due to the coating’s corrosion resistance, green coated strut is used in applications with exposure to common acidic atmospheres, solvents, and alkalis. Green coated strut provides superior resistance to chalking, checking, and fading. Curved channel is commonly used for Trolley applications, or for mounting to curved roofs, ceilings or walls. UNISTRUT CURVED CHANNEL Unistrut can provide our channel curved to your specifications.
